The tribesmen of Mentawai are the
traditional tribe of hunters and gatherers living in the dense jungle of
Siberut Island. The Mentawai people are known for their full body tattoos and
knowledge of traditional medicine. By visiting Siberut Island for 4-5 days you
can learn about the culture, beliefs, and the way of living of those friendly
people. Sleeping in authentic Mentawai villages, exploring the jungle with
Mentawai guide and enjoying the marvelous sand beaches of Siberut Island. 
DAY 1 (Airport – Padang)
Meeting
point at BIM at 22.00 pm and then heading to Check-in to the Hotel.
DAY 2 (Siberut – Kesagu – Butuy)
After having breakfast go to Padang harbor
to catch the Mentawai Fast cruise. At 02.00 pm, we arrive at the south of
Siberut. Then, leave for Kesagu by Ojek. The journey will go through the
jungle, river and valley. After arriving, we will make an introduction and small
talk with the local people. Then, having dinner and free program.
DAY 3
After having breakfast, we will get
involved with the local activity, such as making arrows, hunting to the forest,
making traditional clothes from wood. In the afternoon, we will follow the
fishing activity and in the evening we will enroll the Sikerei ceremonial.
DAY 4 (Exploring Butuy village)
After having breakfast, we will
explore Butuy village and free program.
DAY 5 (Siberut – Padang)
After breakfast, we will go back to
Padang and tour ends.
